Kate Briggs Johnson, Architect received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, School of Architecture and her Masters from the University of Washington in Seattle.  At both schools she studied Urban Design, Solar Design and Daylighting strategies. 

 

In addition to her architectural practice, Kate is currently involved in a number of non-profit boards and community activites, which include:

  • The Foundation for Norfolk Living, an affordable housing organization- Treasurer

  • The Norfolk Land Trust- co-chair of the trails and outreach committee.

  • The Norfolk Library- Trustee

  • The Green Build Round Table-Moderator for an informal group of Building professionals who share information and further green building practice in Northwestern CT

 

In the past, Kate has served as Chair of Botelle Elementary School Board of Eduation, a member of the Board of Finance, a member of the Norfolk  Energy Task force, and a member of the Building Committee for Habitat.
